A STUDY ON EFFECT ON THE LUMBAR STABILIZATION EXERCISES FOR IMPROVING THE ENDURANCE OF BACK MUSCLES IN SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To find out the effect of lumbar stabilization exercises for improving the endurance of back muscles in school volley ball players. METHODOLOGY: Study design- Experimental study – randomized design. Settings-Government Nandhanar boys higher secondary school, Chidambaram, Sri Ramakrishna Vidhyasala higher secondary school, Chidambaram. Participants: Twenty school volley ball players were participated in this study. Lumbar stabilization exercises was given for 5 days in a week for 4 weeks. OUTCOME MEASURE: “Sorenson test” RESULTS: The post treatment has high mean mean value (163.95) than the pre-treatment value (95.90). Thus, the differences is statistically confirmed by obtained ‘t’ value (13.03), which is significant at 0.01 level. CONCLUSION: The lumbar stabilization exercises are an effective and useful technique in improving the endurance of back muscles in school volley ball players.
